Today's spotlight is on Dr Michelle Foster, Sheffield Children's Trust.

See below for the abstract for Michelle's talk;

'Sheffield’s Approach to screening and Management of Auditory Processing Difficulties (APD)'

In 2006 APD became a topic at a lot of conferences and I had begun to notice patients coming back querying their hearing ability when they had normal hearing thresholds on a Pure tone audiometry (hearing test).  So we ran a pilot study and a research project and have made links with the institute of Hearing research in Nottingham.  The aim of the talk is to outline to the listeners our journey, what APD is, presenting symptoms, current research and then our conclusions and approach in Sheffield.
