Assistive Technology: Reviewing the Orcam Read.

The OrCam Read Review with John Hicks

With new technology removing barriers to learning coming out all the time, it seems appropriate to review this effective, but expensive technology called the OrCam Read.

In the video below, I take a brief look at the OrCam Read a pen like device that is great for reading out text in many different situations. With a price tag that is too high for consumers buying directly, access to the device will be through schools funding, the Disabled Students Allowance and Access To Work depending upon the users circumstances.

It is definitely technology to keep an eye on for general purpose access to text if conventional reading is inaccessible but it may be too much technology for the needs of most.
