What’s in a perspective?

The single biggest, most impactful way of boosting self-esteem is looking at life in a different way.

For many children with dyslexia, they often experience low self-esteem because they view their experiences from a perspective of having something wrong about them. What if we could change that perspective so that the child can see their value and their unique way of thinking as a way to change the world?

NEWS FLASH! Dyslexia is NOT a disease!

Of course, it isn’t, but so often it is thought of as a disability, as something that is wrong with us when the reality is that a child with dyslexia simply thinks differently and in the right context, that difference in thinking will change the world, sadly within our education system, it can make life feel like a slog and when we feel like that we start to think it’s because we have something wrong about us and that thinking infects every aspect of our thoughts, the way that we relate to others and how we approach challenges.

I would like to invite you to take a listen to my second podcast episode as I share my thoughts on why it’s important for our children to change the perspective on their dyslexia so that they can unlock their potential. To unlock potential we need to believe that we have some. Let’s help our children to believe.
