Managing the stress of writing essays when dyslexic: Changing perspective helps!

August 31, 2021 John Hicks

There are many ways to make writing essays less stressful..

If you have been following my articles then you will know that I have been collaborating with Claro Software exploring how to make essay writing less stressful.

One approach is indeed to use assistive technology such as Writing Helper from Claro that helps the student to plan their essays in a way that works with how they think but using technology isn’t the only approach.

With essay writing often triggering feelings of overwhelm and anxiety, it also makes sense to find ways to manage how one feels about doing course work.

In the podcast episode below, I explore how a change of perspective or mindset can make a huge difference in how students can become less stressed, more engaged and productive with essay writing.

Have a listen and let me know what your thoughts are?
