October 20, 2021 John Hicks

Listen to this awesome podcast episode from Dyslexia Life Hacks about how assistive technology levels the playing field for students with dyslexia.

Matthew Head from the Dyslexia Life Hacks Podcast in this episode of his podcast interviews assistive technology product manager, Stuart Marsden about the design process for developing technology that helps students with a neurodiverse mind to unlock academic potential.

Listen to the podcast episode below:

If you have been following The Studying With Dyslexia Blog, you will be aware of Stuart Marsden and his work at Claro Software.

One of the aspects of his work that he is passionate about is that designers of assistive technology HAVE to listen to the thoughts and ideas of students who are likely to use their products so that they can design technology that helps with managing the challenges of dyslexia within the academic world, whilst unlocking the strengths that come with dyslexic thinking.

In the video below this is evident as he demonstrates Writing Helper from Claro Software.

The purpose of this article however is to give you a special opportunity to make a positive difference to the design process at Claro Software. Scroll down to find out more…

What are your challenges related to studying with dyslexia that technology could help with?

If you know a student with dyslexia or if you support students with dyslexia, then Stuart Marsden wants to meet with you to discuss the challenges that come up for dyslexic students when writing essays.

Stuart recognises how important it is to understand needs and to design solutions that help. If you have thoughts, opinions or ideas that could be useful to explain to student about the ‘dyslexic essay writing process’ then click the picture to the right and book an online meeting with Stuart.
